Anyone hidden from the scheduler and not bookable online — front desk, managers, bookkeepers — doesn't count towards the limit. Archived team members never count. ### Solo Plan — $25/month (USD) / A$25/month (AUD inc. GST) 1 team member. Unlimited appointments. Online booking (24/7). Customisable booking page. Online payments via Stripe. Deposit collection. Client CRM & document storage. Core reports. Bella AI Assistant. Email support. 50 SMS/month included. Day, week, month, and agenda views. Colour-coded services. Smart conflict prevention. Quick appointment creation. Walk-in handling. Recurring appointment series: create repeating appointments (e.g. weekly, fortnightly, monthly) for regular clients, and cancel all future appointments in a series in one step. Find a time: availability-first booking — select client and services first, browse available slots across multiple days with intelligent gap-fill ranking. Slots that fill gaps between existing appointments are ranked higher and labelled "Best fit", "Great fit", or "Good fit". Keyboard shortcuts: N (new appointment), F (find a time), Escape (close panels), Cmd+Enter (save). Appointment search by client, team member, status, or date range. Blocked time management. Multi-service appointment grouping with full-details tooltip. Activity logging with full audit trail. Working hours enforcement with optional blocking or warnings. Client availability checks prevent double-booking clients and check family member conflicts. Compact layout, weekend visibility controls, scroll preservation. Resend notification or send manual reminder from actions menu. A 3 days view sits between Day and Week, and on a phone Week view keeps readable column widths and pans sideways. **Appointment check-in**: Mark a client as arrived — and their service as in progress — from the scheduler or the appointments list, so the whole team can see who is waiting and who is being looked after. The assigned team member is notified the moment their client is checked in, and a state-aware undo reverses a mis-tap. Check-in never changes the appointment's status, so checkout is unaffected. Arrived / in-progress markers appear across the day, 3 days, week, month and agenda views (including on short and narrow appointments); Waiting and In progress each get their own customisable colour under Settings → Scheduling → Scheduler colours, and when the scheduler is coloured by service the check-in colour rides a strip along the top. The dashboard's Today snapshot counts who is waiting or in progress right now. Gated by a team permission (appointments:checkin), NOT by plan. **Reschedule to any week**: Open an appointment and move it three ways — one-tap suggested times ("Next free time", "Same time, a week later", each pre-checked against availability), a browse-by-week list of free slots, or Pick on calendar (the live scheduler returns with a floating pill; browse to any day or week and tap the new time on the grid). A confirmation shows every service's new time and who performs it before committing, warns if the slot overlaps another booking without blocking, and carries a per-move "Let the client know" toggle. Multi-service appointments and parties move as one, and the freed slot can go straight to the waitlist. **Scheduler Filters (status, booking source, tags)**: A single Filters control in the scheduler header narrows which appointments appear on the calendar. Status covers Booked, Confirmed, Completed and Cancelled, and defaults to everything except Cancelled — so cancelled appointments are hidden until you tick Cancelled, which is how you see cancelled appointments on the calendar (useful for rebooking a slot a cancellation just freed). At least one status must stay selected. Booking source limits the view to online bookings or appointments created in the business, and when Online is selected you can further filter by whether the client requested a specific team member or took any available one. Tags show only appointments carrying any of the selected appointment tags. A dot on the Filters button means something differs from the defaults and Reset restores them; the selection is session-only, so reloading returns to the defaults. Cancelled appointments displayed this way are display-only — they never consume availability, never block Find a time, and cannot be dragged or resized. The Cancelled colour under Settings → Scheduling → Scheduler colours applies to those cards when colouring by status. ### Waitlist Management (/features/waitlist) Capture demand when fully booked. Clients can join the waitlist from the online booking page when no slots are available. Preferred time windows and service selection. Automatic slot matching: when a slot opens, the system matches it to waitlisted clients based on preferred time, service, and team member. Team is notified of matches and can convert to appointments with one click. Dismiss notifications if not suitable. Convert entries to appointments instantly. Automated notifications when clients join. ### Services, Pricing & Bundles (/features/services-and-bundles) Complete service menu with categories. CSV import. Duration and resource settings per service. **Service Add-ons** (/features/service-addons): Configurable extras per service (e.g., conditioning treatment, scalp massage). Create add-on option groups with selectable options, each with its own price and duration. Groups can be optional or required. Support single-select and multi-select with min/max selection limits. Add-on prices and durations included in all totals, notifications, and reports. Add-on durations affect availability calculations. **Service Variants**: Named variations of a service (e.g., Short Hair, Medium Hair, Long Hair) each with its own price, duration, and timing overrides. Per-variant pricing shows automatic "From $X" pricing. Per-variant timing overrides: processing time, buffer before, buffer after. Client eligibility: restrict variants to first-time or returning clients. Eligibility scope: "this location" or "this service". Works with pricing tiers, bundles, and add-ons. Online booking auto-filters by eligibility; anonymous users treated as first-time. Calendar shows "Service Name — Variant Name". **Prerequisite services**: Require a consultation (or any service) before a treatment can be booked online. Modes: Completed (prerequisite appointment must be marked Completed) or Booked (any non-cancelled booking counts, including booking both in the same cart). Multiple prerequisites combine as Any or All. Unmet treatments stay visible but locked with a clear path to book the missing service; the team can still override from the dashboard. Built for clinics that need "consultation first" without misusing a membership as a gate. **Pricing tiers** (/features/pricing-tiers): Custom pricing levels for different experience levels (Junior, Senior, Master). Same service with different prices based on team member tier. Clients see appropriate price when selecting their preferred team member. **Service Bundles**: Package multiple services into a single bookable bundle. Four pricing modes: use service prices, fixed total price, percentage discount, or free. Show Savings displays original price struck through with savings during online booking. Processing time between services for colour development etc. Drag-and-drop ordering. **Processing Time**: Bookable gap where the client stays but the team member is free (e.g., colour development). The team member can take other short appointments during processing. Resource remains blocked. **Buffer Time Before & After**: Setup and cleanup time that blocks both team member and resource. Invisible to clients during online booking. Appears as hatched blocks on the scheduler. **Location-Level Timing Defaults**: Set default processing time, buffer before, and buffer after at the location level. All services inherit automatically. Override per service where needed. Resolution: bundle override > service override > location default > 0. No competitor offers location-level defaults with per-service inheritance. ### Online booking (/features/online-booking) 24/7 self-booking through branded pages. Mobile-friendly. Real-time availability. Multi-service booking with configurable add-ons. Team member selection (optional for clients). Family booking: clients book for family members (children, partners, parents, siblings, friends, pets). Booking approval and client confirmation are separate mechanisms. Minimum and maximum booking window. Option to hide service prices. Waitlist integration for fully booked slots. Schedule optimisation: three modes — Show All, Reduce Gaps, Eliminate Gaps. Booking-policy availability readout: the Booking policies settings page always shows how many available times clients can book over the next 7 days, computed against the business's real calendar under the saved policies; changing the time slot interval, schedule gaps, minimum notice or booking window adds what that figure would become, before saving — with warnings for settings combinations that quietly shrink availability. Incomplete bookings: view bookings clients started but didn't finish, with dismiss and remind actions. Memberships online: clients subscribe, manage, and self-cancel. Packages online: clients browse, purchase, view balances, apply credits when booking. Online booking insights (built-in, nothing to set up): where online bookings come from across six channels (Instagram, Facebook, AI assistants, Google, Direct, Other) with visits/bookings/conversion per channel, a drop-off funnel (visited → added a service → picked a time → booked), a visit-to-booking conversion rate, and a live today strip. Announcement banner above the Book now button (holiday closure, parking change, seasonal promo) — blank means nothing shows. QR code destinations: the booking-page QR can point at the full page, the booking steps, or directly at memberships, packages, gift cards or the product shop. **Group bookings — your own party size**: No fixed six-person cap. Set a minimum and maximum party size per group-enabled service; Bella only offers times when enough qualified team members are free for everyone, each guest with their own team member. Set the range to 2–2 for a couples-only treatment and the booking page always asks for the whole party ("For 2 people"); leave the minimum at 1 and a single person can still book normally (the summary and cart then say "For 1 person"). The service editor warns if the party size exceeds the team who can perform the service. Teams can still make a deliberate exception from the calendar. **Named guests**: Each extra guest in a group booking can be given a name — online or when the team builds one on the calendar. The names appear on the booking, the calendar and at checkout, so the front desk knows who is arriving without placeholder client profiles. Always optional. **People per booking (shared spaces)**: For services where several people share one booking — a couples sauna, a float room, a private high tea — the client is asked "How many people?", can optionally say who is coming (family members from their account, or just names), and Bella reserves exactly that many places in the room. **Per-person pricing**: A shared-space service can be charged per booking (a single flat charge — the default, so no existing service changes) or per person, where the price set is the per-head rate. The booking page labels the service "per person" and, once the headcount is chosen, the review spells out the sum — two people at 60 shown as "2 × 60 = 120" in the business's own currency. It stays one booking, one line and one payment, so a membership, package or deposit still settles the whole amount, and add-ons are added once, never multiplied per head. For a discounted party price, a fixed-total bundle is the tool instead. **Private hire**: "Reserves the whole space" makes a single booking take the entire room or facility, however many people attend — private sauna sessions, exclusive-use spa suites, whole-studio hire. Nothing else can be booked into that space while the private booking runs. People per booking can still be set purely to name the guests and take attendance. Private hire and group bookings are opposite booking shapes and mutually exclusive; the service editor disables whichever toggle would conflict and explains why. Private hire only offers itself once the service has a required room. **"How do people book this?"**: Multi-person setup is a single choice on the service's Group bookings tab — Just one person, Several share the space, Booked together a team member each, or Private hire — and Bella sets the underlying options, so a combination that is sellable but never bookable cannot be created. A plain-English line spells out what each booking will do; the individual switches remain for fine-tuning. **Reserve with Google**: Switch it on from the Online booking page. Bella publishes the business into Google's partner feed so a Book button can appear on Google Search and Maps. The Book button opens the booking steps (`/{slug}/booking`), not the landing page. Distinct from pasting the booking URL into Google Business Profile, and from Google Analytics / Tag Manager. Google only shows the button in countries and categories where it offers Reserve with Google; Bella publishes several times a day and Google can take a day to show it. Needs online booking on, a complete pinned address, a mappable business type, and at least one online-bookable service and team member. **Connect your own Google Analytics or Tag Manager**: In addition to Bella's built-in analytics (which need no setup), a booking page can report into the business's OWN analytics. Under Settings → Online booking → Appearance, paste a Google Analytics 4 Measurement ID, or a Google Tag Manager container ID to run Google Ads conversion tracking, the Meta Pixel and TikTok from one place — Bella adds the tracking code. It sends page views and, when a booking completes, a purchase event carrying the booking's value and the business's currency, so real conversions and return on ad spend are measurable, not just clicks. Cookie consent is handled with Google Consent Mode: visitors in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked before any tracking cookies are set, while everyone else (for example Australia) sees no banner. Available on every plan; the consent notice only appears once the business has connected its own analytics. ### Payments & Deposits (/features/payments) **Deposits**: Fixed amount or percentage. Stripe processing (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Per-service deposit requirements. Successful payment auto-confirms appointments. Staff can record deposits using Cash, Card (Manual), Other, or Card on File. **Unified payment picker**: Four methods everywhere — Cash, Card (Manual), Other, Card on File. EFTPOS recorded as Card (Manual). Card on File shows brand, last four digits and expiry date, with Expiring/Expired severity indicators. **Saved Cards & Card on File**: Clients save cards through online portal. Staff charge saved cards for deposits, checkouts, or sales — real Stripe payments. Multiple saved cards per client. Card on File refunds via Stripe. **Pass processing fees to Clients**: Optional. Transparent "Processing Fee" line item. Inverse formula so business receives exactly the service price. Country-specific rates: AU 2.7%, NZ 3.7%, US/international 3.9%. Can be enabled/disabled per service. **Digital Tipping**: Clients tip team members after appointments via the online portal's review-and-tip flow. Preset amounts ($5/$10/$20) plus custom amounts. Tips processed through the connected payment account (Stripe or Square). Business and team members notified. Tip notifications customisable with {{TipAmount}} and {{TeamMemberName}} variables. **Afterpay / Clearpay**: Clients split into 4 interest-free instalments. Business receives full amount upfront. Available for deposits, gift cards, packages. Eligible countries: AU, NZ, US, CA, UK. **Cancellation Policies**: Notice periods (0-72 hours) and fees (0-100%). Automatic refund calculations via Stripe. Per-service overrides (most restrictive applies). Late cancellation online only for appointments with deposits. **Reschedule Policies**: Minimum notice separate from cancellation. Time-based only (no fee). Inside the window, clients must contact business. **Self-Service Portal**: Clients cancel or reschedule within policy rules. Automatic refunds. Visual policy calculator. ### Client Management / CRM (/features/client-management) Comprehensive profiles and appointment history. Three-tier notes visibility: client-level, appointment-level, or both. Timeline notes: dated, authored notes on a client's profile — each records who wrote it and when, with optional file attachments. Client document storage: consent forms, medical documents, before/after photos. Photos & Files view: a unified view bringing together every attachment from a client's appointments and their profile (documents and timeline-note attachments) in one place. Client statistics: total orders, total spent, cancellations, no-shows. Memberships tab: view active memberships, session counters, enrol directly. Notification preferences per client. CSV import/export. Duplicate prevention: Bella stops two client records being created with the same phone number or email address, with family members sharing contact details allowed; possible-duplicates detection also offers a guided one-click merge of existing records. Archive and restore. Family & dependent booking: children, spouses, partners, parents, siblings, friends, pets. ### Team Management (/features/team-management) Default working hours per team member. Custom working hours for specific dates. Time off management (annual, sick, personal leave). Team schedule grid view. Granular role-based permissions: four built-in roles (Owner, Admin, Receptionist, Team Member) with 30+ individual permissions across 15 modules. All roles except Owner customisable. Pricing tier assignment. Online booking visibility toggle. Calendar feed (iCal). Profile photos and scheduler colours. Multi-location access per team member. Attendance tracking with PIN-based clock-in/out (Professional plan). ### Point of Sale & Checkout (/features/point-of-sale) Check out from completed appointments. Services pre-populated. Add retail products, with a quantity per line ("3 × $30.00" as one line, stock down by three). Four payment methods: Cash, Card (Manual), Other, Card on File. Standalone sales for walk-in purchases. Full and partial refunds (Card on File refunds via Stripe). Sale notes. Complete sales history. Every sale feeds reports and dashboard. Payment link: send a client a link to pay their appointment balance online by text or email; they sign in, pay by card, and the appointment checks itself out. **Split payments**: Settle one sale across as many payments as it takes. Choose "Split across multiple payments" at appointment checkout or on Add sale, then Add payment for each — pick the method, type the amount (or hit Rest to fill in the balance), and Left to collect counts down to zero. Cash, Card (Manual), Other and the client's saved card combine freely. Gift cards, packages, memberships and client credit still come off the bill first, so only the genuine remainder is split. Nothing is charged until the sale is completed, so a payment can be removed or redone at any point, and a declined card leaves the other payments intact. Where processing fees are passed on, the fee applies to the card payment alone, never the cash, and the exact figure is shown before charging. The receipt shows one line per payment, the Sales list shows the combination (filtering by either method finds the sale), and the Sales summary report counts each payment in its own column. **Custom items**: A one-off charge on any sale or checkout without creating a permanent product or service — a late-arrival fee, gift wrapping, a one-off consultation. Type a description, set a price, optionally credit a team member. Tax follows existing settings (on by default once registered, with a per-line exempt toggle). Appears on the receipt exactly as typed, counts toward the team member's sales when attributed, and shows as its own Custom items row in Sales summary. **Sale date**: A sale can be dated up to 14 days back so a delayed checkout lands on the right day in Sales summary, Tax collected and the other money reports. Separate from the appointment date. An already-rung sale is corrected via Edit sale with a reason, recorded in the sale's edit history. **Receipt note**: A one-off note (up to 500 characters) on the checkout panel and on Add sale that prints on that receipt only, above the standing receipt footer — on the emailed receipt, the printed or PDF copy, and the client's My Receipts page. Separate from the private team-only note on the same screen. **Receipts & tax invoices**: One redesigned document, literally the same whether the team opens it from a sale in the dashboard or the client opens it from My Receipts in online booking. Letterhead and registration number labelled for the country (ABN in Australia, VAT Reg No. in the UK), the client's name and billing address, itemised services with the team member and any add-ons per line, and a ruled totals block. Every payment is itemised — deposits, gift cards, client credit, package coverage and refunds — each with its processing fee. Prints or saves as a single tidy page. Walk-in and retail sales get a receipt emailed automatically, with wording editable in Settings → Automated messages (email on, SMS off by default), and clients can view, print, save as PDF and re-send their own receipts. ### Products & Inventory (/features/products) Product catalogue: name, brand, price, cost, SKU, barcode. Inventory tracking with stock levels and a full movement audit trail. Supplier management. Supplier orders (create, track, receive — receiving adds stock automatically). Sell at checkout. Product sales reporting. Bulk CSV import. ### Automated Notifications (/features/automated-notifications) 19 message types across 3 channels (SMS, email, business notification centre). Client notifications: appointment confirmed, pending approval, pending confirmation, rescheduled, cancelled, checked out, waitlist confirmation, 2 configurable reminders, reminder to rebook, review request. Business notifications: new online booking, booking pending approval, online cancellation, online reschedule, new waitlist entry, form submission completed, tip received, review received (opt-in — notify the business when a new review arrives), welcome message. Customisable templates with variables ({{FirstName}}, {{Date}}, {{Time}}, {{ServiceName}}, {{FormName}}, {{TipAmount}}, {{TeamMemberName}}). One-click confirmation links. Client opt-out per channel. Live message preview. Resend/manual remind from appointment actions. Notification debouncing. SMS delivery tracking via webhooks. Spam detection for templates. ### Two-Way Messaging & Campaigns (Messages Plus Add-on) (/features/messages) Dedicated phone number. Three-panel threaded inbox. Two-way messaging with instant replies. Internal notes (team-only). Automated messages in context within threads. Auto-handling replies: YES/Y confirms, NO/CANCEL flags for follow-up, STOP/UNSUBSCRIBE manages consent. SMS and email campaigns with audience filtering, preview, scheduling, and delivery tracking — email campaigns add branded rich text, images through the body, a hero banner, your logo in the header, and a Book-now button, or paste your own HTML (including a Canva Email design) and Import it to send exactly as designed; open/click tracking; unlimited within Messages Plus (fair use). Generate with AI: describe an email in a sentence and Bella drafts a subject and body grounded in your salon's own description — a first draft you edit, never auto-sent. Pre-send content check: every campaign returns pass/warning/fail — SMS against anti-spam rules, email for spam-trigger words and deliverability, plus structural checks on HTML/image emails (missing alt text, a Gmail-clipping size) — with serious problems (a misleading subject) hard-blocked and the structural and softer issues shown as warnings you can send past. SMS credits management with auto-top-up. Real-time delivery status. ### Dashboard & Reports (/features/reporting) 25+ built-in reports include: Appointments summary, Appointment Cancellations, Sales summary, Future income, Service & product sales, Services sales, Service bookings, Products sales, Team member sales, Team Member Utilisation, Team Member Days off, Client retention, Booking source, Gift card summary, Loyalty summary, Tips summary, Packages summary, Discount summary, Peak hours (heatmap), At-risk clients, Client lifetime value, Top spenders, Attendance, Tax collected. **Appointments summary** also carries the check-in metrics: the average time clients wait between arriving and being seen, how long appointments actually run from start to checkout, how consistently the team checks clients in, and the on-time arrival rate (on time = arriving within 10 minutes of the appointment's start). **Future income**: Expected income from upcoming Booked and Confirmed appointments — the booked pipeline — net of any manual and promo-code discounts already applied. Pick a forward window (next 7, 30 or 90 days, next month, or a custom range) for expected net income, gross booked value, discounts, deposits already held and the balance still to collect, plus a trend by week and a breakdown by team member. Because memberships, packages, loyalty and gift cards are only applied at checkout, they are excluded here and clearly noted. The dashboard's "Future Bookings Value" is calculated the same way (net of manual and promo-code discounts), but covers every upcoming non-cancelled appointment with no window, so the two figures match only when the report's forward window covers them all and none has already been checked out. **Service bookings**: How many times each service was booked — one count per appointment service line, by appointment date, including bookings not yet checked out. Cancelled appointments are excluded. Distinct from Services sales, which answers the checkout question (how many times each service was sold). Appointment reports treat "all team members selected" as no filter, so resource-only bookings are included. **Sales summary** payment breakdown carries Cash, Card, Gift Card, Client credit and Other columns, which always add up to the day's payments; both new columns are in the CSV export and the totals row. **Gift card summary** breaks sold amounts by Cash, Card (Manual), Other and Online for till reconciliation. Dashboard: 12 KPI cards (revenue, active clients, bookings, average sale value, client retention, no-show rate, online booking, future bookings value, rebooking rate, average appointments per client, cancellation rate, discounts given) — seven with sparklines, all but Future Bookings Value with period comparison. Charts: service distribution pie, team capacity bar, resource usage bar, new vs returning clients, booking source (horizontal bar of appointment counts per origin — Online, Team Booking, Integration), revenue trend line, services by category (horizontal bar, top five by net service revenue), and appointments booked for the week ahead. AI Business Digest: weekly AI-generated performance summary delivered to email. Online booking analytics (native, built-in — nothing to set up; a business can additionally connect its OWN Google Analytics 4 or Google Tag Manager to the booking page on any plan, see Online booking above): traffic-source attribution showing where online bookings come from across six channels (Instagram, Facebook, AI assistants — ChatGPT/Gemini/Perplexity/Claude/Copilot, Google, Direct, Other) with visits, bookings, and conversion rate per channel; a booking funnel revealing drop-off (visited → added a service → picked a time → booked, last 30 days, biggest leak highlighted); a live today strip (visits, started, bookings); and a sample-size-gated visits→bookings conversion rate. Captures app and AI-assistant referrals that Google Analytics typically misses. Most reports: date-range filtering (exceptions: Client credit is a live snapshot, At-risk clients and Client lifetime value read whole-history, Online booking analytics is fixed to the last 30 days). Most support period comparison; many support team-member filtering. CSV export on all but Online booking analytics. ### Multi-Location Management (/features/multi-location) Single account, multiple locations. Each location has its own settings, team, services, booking policies, and database. Team members assigned to specific locations with location-specific permissions. Copy services between locations. ### Bella AI Assistant (/features/bella-ai) Ask questions in plain English about business data. Schedule queries, client lookups, business analytics. Streaming responses with reasoning display. Table rendering. Contextual follow-up suggestions. AI Business Digest: automated weekly summary. Marketing-email drafting and a pre-send deliverability check for campaigns (Messages Plus): Bella drafts a campaign email from a one-sentence brief for you to edit, and vets every campaign — SMS against anti-spam rules, email for spam-triggers and deliverability — before it sends. Feedback system. Available on all plans. ### Command Palette (/features/command-palette) Cmd+K / Ctrl+K from any screen. Search across clients, appointments, services, products, gift cards, team members. Navigate to 130+ destinations with fuzzy search and typo tolerance. Quick actions: create appointments, clients, sales, services, bundles, products, team members. AI quick answers (Professional plan). Recent items. Permission-aware. Desktop and mobile. ### Loyalty programme (/features/loyalty) Points-based rewards. Custom earning rules and point values. Redeemable rewards. Engagement tracking. Expiry notifications. Professional plan. ### Referrals (/features/referrals) Separate programme from loyalty (same plan feature — Professional). Fixed currency amounts only (never percentages). Friend welcome reward on first appointment; referrer earns when that first paid appointment is **checked out** (non-zero value). Optional monthly cap; configurable expiry months. Clients share from Account → Refer a friend; team can copy links from Wallet → Referrals. Referrals report under Insights. ### Client Rewards & Offers (Messages Plus Add-on) Birthday rewards: capturing client birthdays is free. Configure an automated birthday reward — a percentage or fixed discount — and Bella recognises it automatically at online booking and the till, applied once a year. A greeting is sent on the day and a reminder before the reward expires. New-client offer: set once, and Bella recognises a client's first appointment and auto-applies a percentage or fixed reward, online or at the till. The rewards and their messages are part of Messages Plus; capturing birthdays is free. ### Client Reviews (/features/reviews) Verified-appointment reviews only. 1-5 star ratings with optional feedback (2,000 chars). AI-powered moderation. Public and private responses. Auto-send review requests after checkout. Manual send/resend. Opt-in notification when a new review arrives, so the business can respond promptly. Reviews on booking page with average rating, count, "Verified appointment" badges. Clients edit within 30 days or delete anytime. Platform-only moderation. Professional plan. **Website reviews widget**: Published reviews can also be embedded on the business's OWN website. Copy the snippet from Online booking → Share & embed (with a live preview before committing) and paste it into any site builder that takes custom HTML — Wix, Squarespace, WordPress and the rest. It renders the rating summary and the reviews, with the full star breakdown on wide layouts, each verified badge and the business's responses, styled in the brand colour. Published reviews only; it updates itself as new reviews arrive, renders nothing at all until the first review, and includes a quiet "Book an appointment" link back to the booking page. Builders that paste code inline get a self-sizing widget; builders that use a fixed-size frame (Wix) need the frame sized to fit. Multi-location businesses get a snippet per location — switch location to copy another. Note: the widget is for visitors, not SEO — Google does not award star ratings in search for reviews a business displays about itself, and the widget's content is not read as part of the page's text. ### Forms & Intake (/features/forms) Digital form builder. Nine field types: short text, long text, multiple choice (single/multi), dropdown, yes/no, signature, file upload (photos JPEG/PNG/WEBP/HEIC→JPEG and PDFs; up to 5 files per question, 20 MB each), info block. Sections with titles and descriptions. Service linking (all or specific services). Frequency control (every appointment or once per client). Auto-send on confirmation. Manual send via email/SMS. Signature capture. File uploads dual-land for your team on the submission and the client's Files / Photos tabs (provenance "Form — {template}"); clients re-view uploads on the completed form — no separate My documents inbox in the booking portal. Print previews and responses. Submissions viewable from form editor, client profile, and appointment detail. Business notifications on completion. Professional plan. ### Treatment Plans (/features/treatment-plans) Personalised, phased, client-visible treatment programmes built on any client record, under Clients → a client → Treatment Plans, alongside their timeline, photos and appointments. Made for skin clinics, med spas, and aesthetic and wellness practitioners — structured, client-visible plans lift return rates and replace the plan that used to get lost in a long email. Structure: a title, an overview, a start date, and phases with week-based timeframes; each phase carries its own notes, the services recommended for the client to book, and the homecare products recommended for use, with usage instructions. Recommended services and products pull their price live from the catalogue — a "from" price where a service has pricing tiers, variants, or is a bundle — so nothing is ever a stale snapshot. Every plan starts as a private draft; publish it and the client sees their live plan in the online-booking portal (the overview, each phase and its status, and the recommended treatments and products). Clients tap Book on a recommended treatment to jump straight into booking with it pre-selected, or add a recommended product to their order. At each follow-up the plan is revisited — mark progress, adjust the next phase, add a revision note that is dated, attributed and linked to the appointment it happened at — then re-publish. After a downgrade, existing plans stay reachable and readable behind an upgrade banner rather than disappearing — a downgrade never hides real client history; editing is locked, though an open plan can still be completed or discontinued. Professional plan. ### Gift cards (/features/gift-cards) Amount-based and service-based. Custom designs. Online purchase via Stripe Checkout. Redemption at checkout and POS sales. Void and manage from dashboard. Gift card summary report (with Cash / Card (Manual) / Other / Online breakdown). Online redemption at booking time. My Gift cards portal. Configurable expiration. Automated notifications. A gift card can be sold at the counter without emailing the recipient — the code is shown after sale so it can be handed over for a surprise or physical gift. At the till, staff can scan or type the code already printed on a physical card; leave it blank and Bella generates one. Online purchases always get a generated code. Recipient name is optional on till sales when the card is not emailed; it is required when emailing the card and for online purchases. ### Client credit (/features/client-credit) A single running top-up balance per client — till-side only (not shown or applied online). The team tops up from the client's Wallet → Credit tab (cash, manual card, other, or card on file). Optional top-up bonus tiers (flat or %); paid vs promotional balance tracked separately; bonus spent first. Auto-applies at checkout with a skip toggle. Full ledger; liability report; Sales summary Client credit column. No expiry. Professional plan. ### Prepaid Packages (/features/packages) Session bundles at discounted upfront price. Multi-service composition with per-service session counts. Variant-level allocations. Expiry periods. Dashboard sales and online purchase (Stripe Checkout). Auto-apply at checkout. Package indicators during booking. Online booking redemption. Session tracking. Cancellation restore. My Packages portal. Voiding with reason (stops redemption; not a refund). Archive & restore. Professional plan. ### Memberships (/features/memberships) Recurring subscription plans with automatic Stripe billing. 9 billing cycles (weekly to annually). Customisable benefits: discount percentage, optional session limit, optional service scope. Benefit patterns: included sessions, percentage discounts, unlimited access. Online purchase and dashboard enrolment. Session tracking per billing cycle. Automatic benefit redemption at checkout. Pause/resume. Flexible cancellation (immediate or end of period; undo a scheduled cancel or cancel now instead from the dashboard). My Membership portal. Automated notifications. Versioned terms and conditions. Members list with search and filtering. Archive & restore. Professional plan. **Instalment plans**: A plan can be set up as a fixed-term instalment plan, so a client pays for a defined course of services in instalments every 4 weeks instead of all upfront. Choose a 4, 8 or 12-week term and the plan bills every 4 weeks — the price set is the per-instalment amount, and the editor shows the term total and breakdown as you type. The included services are granted once for the whole term (usable any time across it, NOT topped up each instalment), the plan renews automatically each term on the card on file, and the client is committed for the term — they can switch off renewal any time and the term's remaining instalments simply complete first. Clients can be enrolled at the till or join themselves online, where checkout spells out the total, the instalment schedule and the minimum-term commitment before they confirm. **Maximum active subscribers cap**: Cap how many clients can hold a plan — a founding-member tier limited to the first 50 sign-ups, or a high-touch plan the team can only service for so many people at once. Leave it blank for unlimited, as before. Once a plan is full it stays visible on the booking page with a "Fully subscribed" badge (never hidden), but new online purchases are blocked; the team can still enrol someone from the dashboard as a manual override, and the plan detail always shows "X of Y spots used". A client who abandons an online checkout automatically frees their reserved spot. If a paused or past-due member returns to a plan that has since filled up — resumed, a manual payment recorded, or Stripe recovering a failed card payment — the team gets a heads-up that this puts the plan over its cap, but the client keeps their membership. ### Resource Management (/features/resources) Link rooms, chairs, equipment to services. Resource capacity (e.g., 3 wash basins = capacity 3). Require resource toggle. Automatic resource assignment for online bookings. Scheduler resource view (group by resources instead of team members). Re-assignment on reschedule. Online booking enforces capacity; dashboard allows override. Drag-and-drop resource ordering for priority. Resource types — Room, Chair or station, Equipment, or Other — give each resource its own icon across the resource list and service setup; types are a label, not a rule, and booking behaviour is identical whatever is picked. Resources also show up across the dashboard: filter the appointments list by resource, a Resource Usage chart shows bookings per resource for any period, and a client's appointment history names the room or equipment each appointment used. A dedicated Resource schedule screen (/resources/schedule, under Team & Resources) shows resource availability as a grid. **Resource operating hours**: Any resource can keep its own schedule — a recurring weekly pattern (which days, and the start and end times each day; each day can repeat weekly, every N weeks, or monthly on the nth or last weekday) plus one-off custom hours for a specific date. Ideal for a hydrotherapy pool that only opens on weekdays, or a treatment room with different hours to the rest of the business. A resource with no schedule of its own simply follows the business's opening hours, so this is only configured where it matters. **Out of service**: Mark a room or piece of equipment out of service for a stretch of time — all-day or a partial window — with a reason (maintenance, repair, cleaning, deep clean or other) and an optional note. While out of service it cannot be booked and online booking hides any slot that needs it. For a shorter one-off closure, a resource can be blocked directly on the scheduler, the same way time is blocked for a team member. **Availability follows the resource, not just capacity**: Resource-only services — float tanks, saunas, tanning beds, infrared pods — check the resource's own schedule as well as its capacity when working out availability, so a resource that is closed, out of service, or blocked is never offered online unless another eligible resource is free. Clients still never see resource names or schedules; they simply see the times that are genuinely available. ### Incomplete Booking Recovery (/features/incomplete-bookings) Captures online bookings clients started but didn't complete. Saved as drafts in Follow-ups panel. Dashboard amber KPI card with count. SMS/email automatic reminder with one-tap resume link. Dismiss and remind actions. ### Attendance tracking (/features/attendance-tracking) Time clock with PIN-based clock-in/out. Hours tracking. Late arrivals. CSV export. Professional plan. ### Calendar Feed (/features/calendar-feed) iCal export for external calendar sync (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook). ### Roles & Permissions (/features/roles-permissions) Four built-in roles. 30+ individual permissions across 15 modules. Visual permission matrix. Per-location roles. ### Suppliers & Orders (/features/suppliers) Supplier management with contact details. Create and track purchase orders. Receive stock and update inventory. --- ## Solutions — Developers, Enterprise & AI Booking ### API & MCP (/developers) REST API + Model Context Protocol (MCP) for a business's own booking data. **Self-serve website-booking keys** (Professional+): create/edit/revoke in Settings → Integrations — catalogue, availability, clients, create/reschedule/cancel appointments at https://api.bellabooking.com with header `x-api-key` (`bella_live_…`; hashed, revocable, one location; Booking source = Integration). Self-serve keys **cannot** reach sales, reports, payments, team or settings (403). How to authenticate: /.well-known/auth.md. **MCP** is managed per account — the same server that powers Bella AI lets Claude/ChatGPT query appointments, clients, sales and reports in natural language; NOT a one-click public connector. Available on Professional, or by arrangement for larger/multi-location accounts. AI assistant read-only by default; selected actions on request. Data isolated and scoped per business. ### Custom & Enterprise (/enterprise) For multi-location groups, franchises and high-volume businesses — arrangements tailored to the business ("open to arrangements", not rigid tiers). Volume pricing across locations. Multi-location management (one account; per-location schedules, teams, booking pages, reports). White-label & custom branding: logo, colours and brand across the whole booking experience, plus unbranded client emails (no Bella branding on what clients see) TODAY; custom domains, fuller white-labelling and reseller arrangements by arrangement. Managed API/MCP & integrations (→ /developers). Hands-on data migration and onboarding on every plan. Priority support with a named point of contact. Franchises/multi-brand welcome by arrangement (no built-in royalty/franchisor automation claimed). Security: PCI DSS via Stripe, encryption, role-based access, enterprise-grade practices; SOC 2 & HIPAA readiness underway (NOT certified). No native app — installable PWA (push, app-like, brand-themeable); no advanced payroll, but relevant custom features by arrangement for larger deals. ### Book with AI (/for-ai-agents) Bella businesses are bookable by AI, in two separate routes. (A) Clients book you through AI: Reserve with Google is LIVE — businesses switch it on from the Online booking page; clients book a business straight from Google Search and Maps where Google offers it for that country and business type; booking pages are structured so AI assistants can read services and availability; availability of AI booking channels varies by country. (B) Run your business with AI: Bella AI and a managed MCP server let a business work with its own data in natural language (→ /developers). AI channels deep-link into the business's real Bella online booking flow, where deposits/payments are handled by the existing secure checkout. Honest maturity: discovery + booking work now where available by country; agent-initiated payment is roadmap, not current. Reserve with Google is a dashboard toggle; MCP access is managed per account — never a one-click public connector. Agent discovery: /llms.txt, /llms-full.txt, /.well-known/api-catalog, /.well-known/mcp/server-card.json, /.well-known/auth.md, /.well-known/agent-skills/index.json. Public docs MCP (documentation search only): /.well-known/mcp/server-card.json (transport https://docs.bellabooking.com/mcp). Website-booking API: https://api.bellabooking.com. --- ## Industry Verticals ### Hair Salons (/hair-salons) Colour processing time management, stylist preference booking, multi-service appointments with precise timing, pricing tiers (Junior/Senior/Master), colour formula and client history tracking, service bundles for cut-and-colour combos, stylist roster management, chair and wash basin resource tracking, 25+ reports including stylist utilisation. ### Beauty Salons (/beauty-salons) Multi-service booking from 15-minute brow shapes to 3-hour bridal packages, specialist-to-service matching, digital consent forms with auto-send before treatments, before-and-after photo storage, treatment history tracking across visits, retail POS alongside appointment checkout, product inventory, pricing tiers, schedule optimisation. ### Nail Salons (/nail-salons) Walk-in and appointment hybrid management, service duration management across varying lengths (20-minute polish to 2-hour full sets), service add-ons for gel upgrades and nail art, mani-pedi bundles with savings display, technician roster and station management, nail product inventory tracking with stock-quantity visibility, technician utilisation reports. ### Barbershops (/barbershops) Quick appointment scheduling for high-volume shops, walk-in handling, tiered pricing for barber experience levels, loyalty programme integration, simple service menu. ### Beauty Clinics (/beauty-clinics) Clinical-grade consent forms with signatures, specialist qualifications matching, treatment course tracking, before/after documentation. ### Laser Clinics (/laser-clinics) Treatment course tracking, mandatory consent forms, processing time for recovery periods, session tracking via prepaid packages. ### Skin Clinics (/skin-clinics) Extended 60–90+ minute treatment durations, deposit protection for high-value appointments, intake and consent forms, client treatment history. ### Spas (/spas) Room and resource management for treatment rooms, multi-service day packages, buffer time between treatments for room turnover, retail product sales. ### Medical Spas (/med-spas) Consent forms and intake questionnaires, treatment documentation, deposit protection for high-value treatments, clinical-grade record-keeping. ### Lash & Brow Studios (/lash-brow-studios) Service add-ons for upgrades (volume lashes, hybrid sets), consent forms for chemical treatments, rebooking reminders timed to fill cycles. ### Personal Trainers (/personal-trainers) Session packages with tracking, recurring memberships for regular clients, attendance tracking. ### Physiotherapy (/physiotherapy) Intake forms and consent, treatment history tracking, recurring booking patterns, session packages. ### Chiropractic (/chiropractic) Treatment course management, intake forms, recurring visit scheduling, session packages. ### Osteopathy (/osteopathy) Consent forms, treatment notes per visit, recurring booking, session packages. ### Wellness Clinics (/wellness-clinics) Multi-practitioner scheduling, diverse service durations, intake forms, membership plans for regular wellness visits. --- ## Competitor Comparisons (/compare) Detailed feature-by-feature comparisons with pricing analysis for 24 competitors: - /compare/fresha — Bella Booking vs Fresha (marketplace with 20% commission on new clients) - /compare/timely — Bella Booking vs Timely - /compare/shortcuts — Bella Booking vs Shortcuts - /compare/square-appointments — Bella Booking vs Square Appointments - /compare/vagaro — Bella Booking vs Vagaro - /compare/phorest — Bella Booking vs Phorest - /compare/booksy — Bella Booking vs Booksy - /compare/setmore — Bella Booking vs Setmore - /compare/glossgenius — Bella Booking vs GlossGenius - /compare/mindbody — Bella Booking vs Mindbody - /compare/mangomint — Bella Booking vs Mangomint - /compare/boulevard — Bella Booking vs Boulevard - /compare/kitomba — Bella Booking vs Kitomba - /compare/zenoti — Bella Booking vs Zenoti - /compare/treatwell — Bella Booking vs Treatwell - /compare/cliniko — Bella Booking vs Cliniko - /compare/nookal — Bella Booking vs Nookal - /compare/jane-app — Bella Booking vs Jane App - /compare/beauti — Bella Booking vs Beauti - /compare/acuity-scheduling — Bella Booking vs Acuity Scheduling (Squarespace-owned general-purpose scheduler; competitors charge per message) - Processing time where team member is freed during colour development (competitors offer basic gaps only) - Buffer time before/after appointments (most competitors lack this) - Location-level timing defaults with per-service inheritance (unique — no competitor offers this) - Post-appointment digital tipping via the review-and-tip flow (rare among competitors) - Incomplete booking recovery with automated follow-up (most competitors don't capture abandoned bookings) - Service variants with client eligibility (first-time vs returning) - Prerequisite services (consultation-first / Completed or Booked gating online) - Loyalty programme included on Professional (competitors charge extra or don't offer) - Automated birthday rewards and a new-client offer — recognised automatically online and at the till, with greeting and reminder messages (Messages Plus); capturing birthdays is free - Client reviews with AI moderation included on Professional - Recurring appointment series with one-step cancel-all-future - Timeline notes (dated, authored, with attachments) and a unified Photos & Files view across appointments and profile - Family booking for dependents, children, pets - Afterpay / Clearpay support for deposits, gift cards, packages - AI assistant on all plans (competitors offer limited AI or charge extra) - Native online-booking traffic-source attribution, drop-off funnel, and visit-to-booking conversion rate — built in with nothing to set up (most competitors rely on GA, which can't see app or marketplace bookings); explicitly captures AI-assistant referrals (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot) that GA typically misses. A business can still connect its own GA4 or Google Tag Manager to the booking page on any plan, with cookie consent handled for visitors in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland --- ## Feature Comparison Hubs (/compare-feature) Compare a specific feature across the major salon software platforms: -
