What is dashboard & reports?

Salon reporting software gives you real-time visibility into revenue, client retention, no-show rates, team performance, and booking trends through a dashboard and detailed reports. Bella Booking provides 12+ headline metrics, visual charts, and more than twenty-five built-in reports, plus native online booking analytics — traffic-source attribution showing where bookings come from and a visit-to-booking funnel — with nothing to set up, and the option to connect your own Google Analytics 4 or Tag Manager as well. A weekly AI Business Digest email delivers personalised insights. Most reports support date filtering and period comparison, and every report except Online booking analytics exports to CSV.

Salon reporting software provides real-time visibility into your business metrics — revenue, client retention, no-show rates, team performance, and booking trends — so you can make data-driven decisions. The dashboard gives you an instant overview of your salon's performance with 12+ key metrics, sparkline trends, and visual charts. See total revenue, active clients, bookings, average sale value, client retention, no-show rate, online booking, future bookings value, rebooking rate, average appointments per client, cancellation rate, and discounts given — with period-over-period comparison to track trends. Charts show service distribution, team member capacity, resource usage, new vs returning clients, booking source, revenue trend, services by category, and the appointments booked for the week ahead. The online booking page adds native analytics — traffic-source attribution showing where your online bookings come from (Instagram, Google, Facebook, AI assistants, Direct, and other sources) with visits, bookings, and conversion rate per channel, a visit-to-booking funnel that reveals where prospective clients drop off, and a live today strip — all built in, with nothing to set up (and your own Google Analytics 4 or Tag Manager can be connected on top if you want it). A weekly AI Business Digest email delivers personalised performance analysis with actionable insights. For deeper analysis, 25+ built-in reports cover appointments, cancellations, sales, future booked income, services, products, tips, discounts, team performance, attendance, client retention, booking sources, peak hours, at-risk clients, client lifetime value, top spenders, packages, gift cards, and loyalty. Filter most reports by date range, narrow many to specific team members, compare most against previous periods, and export all but Online booking analytics to CSV for accounting or further analysis.

Appointments summary

Total appointments, new vs returning clients, no-show rates, average duration, and booking patterns over time — plus the check-in picture: the average wait between a client arriving and being seen, how long appointments actually run from start to checkout, how consistently your team checks clients in, and how often clients arrive on time (within 10 minutes of their start).

Analyse cancellation rates, reasons, and patterns. See percentage breakdowns and value lost per reason.

Sales summary

Daily revenue breakdown with payment method splits (cash, card, gift card), discounts, and refunds. Track earnings over any date range.

Future income

See the income you have booked but not yet earned — your upcoming appointments, net of any discounts and promo codes already applied. Choose a forward window (next 7, 30 or 90 days, or next month) and see expected net income, deposits already held and the balance still to collect, with a trend by week and a breakdown by team member.

Service & product sales

Sales broken down by team member with service and product percentage splits. See who is generating what revenue.

Services sales

How many times each service was sold at checkout — quantity, average price, revenue share, and average duration. Switch to the Detailed view for a line-item breakdown of every service sold — with date of service, team member, and amount — exportable to CSV for bookkeeping or analysis.

Service bookings

How many times each service was booked — by appointment date, including bookings not yet checked out. Distinct from Services sales (checkout/sold). Cancelled appointments are excluded.

Products sales

Retail product performance with average price and revenue share. Identify top-selling products and slow movers.

Team member sales

Booking efficiency, availability, revenue, and revenue per hour. Understand how well booked each team member is.

Client retention

Track new vs returning clients, retention rates, and rebooking rates by team member.

Booking origin (online vs in-house)

See how appointments are created — online self-booking, booked by your team on the dashboard, or a connected integration — with appointment counts, revenue, and average value. Pairs with the online booking analytics below, which break down where your online bookings actually come from.

Online booking analytics

See where your online bookings come from — Instagram, Google, Facebook, AI assistants (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Copilot), Direct, and other sources — with visits, bookings, and conversion rate per channel. A booking funnel shows where visitors drop off (visited → added a service → picked a time) and a live "today" strip tracks activity as it happens. Know how clients find and book you, and win more bookings. Built in with nothing to set up — and your own Google Analytics 4 or Tag Manager can be connected to your booking page alongside it.

Tips summary

Track tips received by team members over time. View by date or by team member with expandable daily breakdowns. Filter by team member and compare against previous periods.

At-risk clients

Identify clients who may not return based on how often they usually book. See overdue ratio, days since their last appointment, and total spend to prioritise outreach.

Client lifetime value

Project annual revenue per client based on appointment history and average spend. Understand who your most valuable clients are.

Top spenders

Rank clients by total spending. Identify your VIP clients for loyalty programmes and retention strategies.

Peak Hours Heatmap

Visualise your busiest hours across the week as a colour-coded heatmap. Optimise staffing, promotions, and availability based on demand patterns.

Packages summary

Track prepaid package sales, session redemptions, and active packages over time.

Gift Cards & Loyalty

Track gift card sales, redemptions, and outstanding balances. Monitor loyalty points earned, redeemed, and active members.

Frequently asked questions

What reports are included?

Every plan includes the core reports: Appointments summary, Service bookings, Cancellations, Sales summary, Services sales, Products sales, Discount summary, Future income, Tax collected, Online booking analytics, and Team Member Days off. The Professional plan adds the advanced suite: Service & product sales, Team member sales, Team Member Utilisation, Client retention, Booking source, Tips summary, At-risk clients, Client lifetime value, Top spenders, and Peak hours. Reports that cover a specific feature — Gift card summary, Loyalty summary and Packages summary among them — come with that feature, and Attendance comes with attendance tracking — a Professional-plan feature — once it is switched on in your scheduling settings.

Can I export report data?

Yes. Every report except Online booking analytics supports CSV export. The Services sales report also has a Detailed view that exports a line-item record of every service sold — useful for cashflow modelling, payroll allocation, or reconciliation with your accounting software.

What is the difference between Starter and Professional reporting?

All plans include the core reports covering appointments, cancellations, sales, services, service bookings, products, discounts, future income, tax collected, online booking analytics, and team days off — most with charts and period-over-period comparison built in. Professional plan adds advanced reports for service and product sales by team member, team performance and utilisation, client retention, booking source analysis, tips, at-risk clients, client lifetime value, top spenders, and peak hours. Reports that cover a specific feature, such as gift cards, loyalty and packages, come with that feature, and Attendance comes with attendance tracking — a Professional-plan feature — once it is switched on. Professional plan subscribers can also request custom reports tailored to their specific business needs.

How far back can I view data?

You can filter reports by any date range since you started using the system. Historical data is retained for as long as your account is active.

Can team members access reports?

Report access is controlled by the "Reports → View all" permission. By default, Owners and Admins have report access. You can grant report access to any role (Receptionist, Team Member) by enabling it in the permission matrix under Settings → Team permissions.
