Which is right for you?
An honest look at when each platform makes sense
Consider Bella Booking if...
- 0% commission on every booking, so a new client's first visit is worth the same as their tenth
- Your client list is yours, on a booking page that shows only your business
- Flat published pricing: Solo, Starter or Professional, with the price on the page
- Available worldwide, including Australia, New Zealand and the United States
- SMS reminders included in the plan, 50 to 500 a month
- Memberships with recurring Stripe billing, session tracking and online purchase
- Prepaid packages sold and redeemed online, applied automatically at checkout
- A loyalty programme with your own earning rules and rewards
- Treatment plans on the client record, published to the client to book and buy from
- Digital forms with e-signatures, file upload and auto-send before appointments
- Service variants and prerequisite services, so a first visit and a return visit can differ and a treatment can require its consultation
- Native online booking analytics: traffic sources, drop-off and visit-to-booking conversion, with no Google Analytics setup
- A waitlist that matches open slots automatically and notifies the team
- Find a time, gap-fill scoring and three schedule optimisation modes
- Two-way SMS on your own local business number (Messages Plus add-on)
- A weekly AI business digest and an AI Assistant you can ask about your schedule, clients and revenue
- Family and dependent booking, for children, partners, parents and pets
- 30 reports with charts and comparison mode
- Dark mode, dyslexia-friendly fonts, colour themes and density settings
- Free onboarding on every plan, with free data migration on Starter and Professional
- No exclusivity clause: Bella does not ask to be the only system you run
Consider Treatwell if...
- You operate in one of the European countries Treatwell serves. It is not sold in Australia, New Zealand or the United States
- Finding new clients is your hardest problem, and a one-off 35% finder's fee is a price you would pay for it
- Empty chairs on quiet days cost you more than the commission would
- You want a card machine and Tap to Pay from the same supplier as the diary
- Most of your bookings arrive by phone and nobody is free to answer
We believe in helping you find the right fit, even if it's not us.

What Treatwell does well
We believe in honest comparisons. Here's what Treatwell excels at:
- 1A consumer marketplace Treatwell says half a million people search every day
- 2Commission is charged once per new client, then repeat bookings are 0%
- 3Bookings taken through your own site, socials or phone are commission-free
- 4A large European partner network: 150,000 salons on the partner site, over 75,000 on the About Us page
- 5Treatwell Pay covers card machine, Tap to Pay and online prepayments, powered by Stripe
- 6Daily, weekly or bi-weekly payouts at no extra charge
- 7An AI Receptionist that answers the phone and books into the calendar, from ยฃ69 a month
- 8Off-peak and last-minute deals that fill quiet hours through the marketplace
- 9Unlimited team members at no extra cost on the Advanced plan
- 10Consumer apps on iOS and Android that clients already have
Treatwell might be better if...
We believe in helping you find the right solution, even if it's not us. Here are some scenarios where other options might serve you better:
- 1A consumer marketplace and app that bring you clients you would not have found. Bella has none
- 2Treatwell spends on consumer marketing across Europe on your behalf
- 3Card machines and Tap to Pay from the same supplier as the software, which Bella does not offer
- 4An AI Receptionist that answers the phone, which Bella does not offer
- 5Off-peak and last-minute deals promoted to a marketplace audience
Still not sure? - we'll give you an honest assessment of whether Bella Booking is right for your business.

Switching from Treatwell?
We make it easy. Free onboarding on every plan, with free data migration on Starter and Professional.
How to switch from Treatwell
Step-by-step guide to export your data and move to Bella Booking. We offer free onboarding on every plan, and free data migration on Starter and Professional.
- 1
Work out which Treatwell product you are on
Treatwell runs two: Treatwell Connect and Treatwell Pro. They have separate logins and separate help centres (partnercare.treatwell.com for Connect, propartnercare.treatwell.com for Pro), and the export menus differ. Check which one your login lands in before you start.
- 2
Export your client list
Both help centres carry an article for this: "How can I export my client list?" for Connect and "How to download the Client List" for Pro. Follow the one for your product, because the menu paths differ, and use a computer rather than the mobile app. Card details never come out of any platform, so clients re-add a card on their first booking with you.
- 3
Download your sales and financial reports
Pull your sales reports before you close the account. Treatwell Pay issues two monthly invoices as well, so download the recent months you will want for your accountant.
- 4
Send us your service menu and team list
A CSV if your product exports one, otherwise a link to your Treatwell venue page and a screenshot of your team list. We rebuild your services with their prices and durations from either.
- 5
List anything with a balance on it
Outstanding Treatwell gift cards and vouchers do not transfer. Write down what is unredeemed before you go, and we will recreate the balances as Bella gift cards.
- 6
Email everything to hello@bellabooking.com
Send the files from the email address on your Treatwell account. We validate, dedupe and import them for you, free on Starter and Professional, and re-run the import if something is missing.
- 7
Move your booking links
Replace your Treatwell link on your website, Instagram bio, Facebook page, Google Business Profile and email signature with your Bella booking page. Switch Reserve with Google on from the Online booking page so the Book button on Google points at you directly.
A note on appointment history
We generally recommend not importing old appointment history. Importing past appointments can trigger unintended automated messages (reminders, review requests, reminders to rebook, follow-up messages) and cause data inconsistencies. Your clients and services are the essential data for a clean start. If you do want some history carried over, we recommend a tight recent range (e.g. the last 3 months), and our migration team will ensure no notifications are sent accidentally.
Good to know
Two things to plan around. Treatwell's help centre articles sit behind a JavaScript portal and some need a partner login, so the exact menu path is best confirmed while you still have access rather than after you cancel. And check your contract term first: Treatwell's own pricing FAQ says an annual plan is cheaper than paying monthly, which means an annual commitment may still have time to run. Your data stays yours either way. Treatwell states that "even if you cancel your plan, you still own your data".

Can't export your data?
No problem, we can work with anything. Screenshots of your service list, a link to your public booking page, a photo of your price board, or even a typed-up list. Send us whatever you have and we will build your account from it.
Need help with the migration?
Our team will handle the data import, set up your services, and walk you through everything, included free with every plan. We accept data in any format: CSV, Excel, screenshots, photos, links, or anything else you can send.
